Question:
To what extent does the media represent black people and ethnic minorities negatively in crime?

I arrived at this question through watching television and documentaries, films etc and noticing that ethnic minorities always seem to be the ones to be the criminals in films and also more likely to be targeted in documentaries and the news. There is a lot of commotion over this topic as many people also complain about the fact that the police usually tend to stop black boys in hoodies more that other males and also in films ethnic minorities such as black people, Italians, Colombians etc are the ones that would be the criminals.

My first steps of research were search engines and looking out when watching television myself.
